Rodeos are exciting for a variety of reasons, blending elements of sport, culture, and entertainment into a thrilling experience for spectators of all ages. Our local Norfolk Pro Rodeo is no exception. The organizers made a difficult decision to leave the Ram Rodeo tour this year and join the Rawhide Rodeo Tour. We spoke to Krista Timmerman about this year’s event.
Rodeo events often bring together communities, fostering a sense of camaraderie and local pride. They are social events where families and friends gather to enjoy the festivities. Timmerman told us family comes first at this rodeo.
Beyond the competitions and fun for the kids there will be live local music for the grown ups, and a special headliner Saturday night.
As the event expanded, they recognized the need to involve more local sponsors to help fund enhancements such as a bigger stage, better bands, inflatables, and roaming entertainers. This was one of the reasons the switch to the Rawhide Rodeo tour was made.
It sounds like this year is going to be an incredible rodeo weekend, celebrating with community. Early bird pricing is available until July 4th. Passes are available online at NorfolkRodeo.com and at Demeyere Chrysler in Simcoe.
