MPP Bobbi Ann Brady thinks party politics lead to a good bill dying at Queen’s Park.
Brady expressed her disappointed that a private members from a liberal MPP to provide a non-refundable tax credit to encourage children’s extra-curricular activities was lost after 71 dissenters, all from the PC party, voted against it.
Brady believes there were members of the Progressive Conservatives who liked the idea, that she notes was first brought forward years ago by former Prime Minister Stephen Harper, and that as an independent MPP she strongly believes there should not be a monopoly on good ideas.
