A Six Nations police officer has been charged with assault causing bodily harm after an investigation by provincial police.
Six Nations police say they asked O-P-P to conduct an independent investigation after learning of an incident that took place when the officer was on duty on April 10th.
30-year-old Const. Michael Johnson was arrested and charged last week.
Police say he has been a member of the service for six years and has been suspended with pay since April 15th.
