Next month, Lynnwood Arts invites you to step back in time to 1874 and join them for an immersive experience at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Duncan Campbell, the Postmaster of Norfolk County.
Similar in format to Waterford’s famed Lantern Tour, which ran for 10 years and was co-written by Jan Rainey, this new play, penned by Rainey, is called The Governor’s Visit.
Lynnwood brings a costumed cast to life and the audience is a silent witness to the lives unfolding in front of them. Based on the factual event of Governor Dufferin’s visit to Lynnwood, it is a play that moves the audience from room to room throughout the house. Filled with humour, you will listen to the honoured guests during their dinner, hear the hilarious discussions with the upstairs maids, and end the evening laughing with the servants in the kitchen area, as you clap along to live music.
The Governor’s Visit runs from February 22 to 25 and tickets are limited.
Tickets are available by visiting Lynnwood’s website www.lynnwoodarts.ca.
