The Norfolk Hospital Nursing Home will be moving to a new location.
In an update by the hospital, it noted the nursing home is currently slated for replacement by the Province which would see the old facility turned into a state of the art 128 bed long term care facility.
Originally, the plan was just to work at the existing site but due to several issues with the sites current limitations, including the fact it is landlocked with buildings all around it, they are now exploring rebuilding the nursing home on a new greenfield site.
The start of the new project could begin as early at the tail end of this year.
