The Gentlemen of Harmony’s annual showcase is coming up fast.
We spoke to Roger Wiens about the big show and some of the special guests taking part and why people should be excited.
That New York-based quartet is also planning on making an impact while in the community.
That is something that is important to Gentlemen of Harmony.
They are also looking to get more members and want to show people when they are young that this avenue exists.
The first step for joining is stepping through the door to try it.
Wiens says once people do, a lot of them don’t turn back.
With events like their upcoming showcase, they are hoping people will be able to come down, listen to great music, and learn a thing or two about how Barbershop has evolved.
The “Harmony Showcase” will be paying tribute to their roots while they venture into a new era with the chorus.
The Chapter was started in 1956, and sadly, the chapter’s last charter member, Cliff Whitehead from Delhi, passed this year at the age of 93.
The show takes place on November 11th at the Simcoe Composite School Auditorium with a 1:30pm matinee performance and a 7pm evening performance.
Tickets are $30 each and can be purchased from any member or by calling 519-410-4648.
