If a Friday night full of folk music performed by The Friends of Fiddler’s Green is something that peaks your interest, then do we have some news for you!
Presented at Waterford Old Town Hall this Friday, take in the sights and sounds of this 5 man band, who has one of the longest track records in Canadian Folk Music, stretching over half a century.
We chatted with Friends of Fiddler’s Green member Ian Bell, who explains how this totally uncategorizable collection of performers came about.
And as fans of the show know, Bell shares that no two performances are ever the same.
The Friends’ arsenal of instruments generally includes various concertinas, guitars, mandolins, fiddles, accordions harmonicas, piano, occasional trombone and TWO species of bagpipes! Bell notes if that’s not enough reason to get you out this Friday, their four part harmonies just might be.
Bell adds that The Friends are excited to return to Norfolk County as it’s always such a welcoming place.
