
A confrontation led to a collision on Wednesday.
Police responded to a collision involving a motorcycle and pick-up truck at the intersection of Highway 3 and Blueline Road at 4:40 p.m. where one person suffered serious injuries.
According to police, prior to the collision the driver of the motorcycle had physically assaulted the driver of the pick-up truck. The driver of the truck then collided with the motorcycle, leading to the passenger being ejected from the motorcycle.
The passenger was airlifted to a hospital to be treated for serious, but non-life-threatening, injuries.
The 37-year-old driver of the motorcycle was taken into custody. Ryan Scarrett has been charged with assault and failure or refusal to comply with demand.
He is set to appear in court on September 12.
