Norfolk County is going to have to dip into their cash reservoir yet again to tackle upgrades at the Port Dover Water Treatment Plant.
Our elected officials were informed that an additional $2.9 million was needed to complete Phase 1 of the project.
Councillors will also sign off on Phase 2 costs today (Tuesday) – coming in at over $5.6 million.
The total project will be over $14 million.
The Phase 2 upgrades at the Port Dover Water Treatment Plant are scheduled to be complete by the summer of 2024.
These upgrades will increase the plant capacity to 7,600 m3 per providing adequate drinking water capacity for Port Dover.
