An undefeated local team is heading to the playoffs.
The Waterford Wildcats U11 Black team are heading to the Ontario Minor Hockey Association championships and hope to return with the title of Intertown U11A OMHA Champions.
Team Manager Stephanie Haley said their 42-0-2 record on the season was a full team effort.
The team is currently leading in Division A with 54 points, after scoring 198 goals in the regular season and only allowing 55 goals against.
Haley said the team is proud to wear the Wildcats jersey while representing Waterford.
The team would love to have the community’s support in the stands at the home game.
Game One is Friday, March 24 at 6 p.m. in Waterford, game two goes Saturday, March 25 at 2:50 p.m. in Paris.
If necessary, game 3 will see the matchup return to Waterford on Tuesday, March 28 at 6 p.m.
