MPP Bobbi Ann Brady’s first Private Members Bill was shot down at Legislature.
Bill 62, Farmland and Arable Land Strategy Act, was defeated in a 89-29, with only the Conservatives voting against the idea.
When we spoke to Brady about the Bill a few weeks ago when it was initially introduced, she noted that protecting farmland is a very important issue to people here.
Brady reiterated after the defeat that her fight to protect farmland will not stop because of this hurdle.
