The Ontario Provincial Police are hoping to see more women consider a career in policing with them and are on a recruiting kick hoping to accomplish exactly that.
OPP Recruiter Cst. Merisol Primeau says there’s a simple reason why that is: they feel the numbers are too low.
Primeau says they’ve seen only a 1% increase in women in uniform join the OPP over the past decade. She says the OPP offer wonderful career opportunities in a variety of roles after cutting your teeth working the road.
