The only gas station in Port Rowan is scheduled to be shut down at the end of next month.
News first emerged earlier this month and quickly a petition was put online to try and keep the gas station in the community.
Now, in a press release from the county, it has announced that Parkland Canada, owners of Esso station, and Norfolk County are looking to the community and area business leaders to find a new owner for the only gas station in the community.
The release goes on to say that for over a year, Parkland has been looking for new owners of the Esso branded retail site at 160 Front Street but no buyers have emerged.
Now, the company and the county have teamed up to invite interest from the community and area entrepreneurs.
The Esso branded retail location will close on March 31st.
