Another great year for development in Norfolk County.
The Building Department is reporting that they saw steady growth throughout 2022 – including 1,230 building permits issued for over $165 million in construction value.
A big chunk of that went to the $27 million expansion to the Toyotetsu plant in Simcoe, but they also saw 268 new residential dwellings.
This helped push the county to the nearly $1 billion mark in total construction value by permits over the last 10 years.
The average building permit and zoning review timeline has been reduced by 25-40 percent as well.
