The Coldest Night Of The Year is happening next month, looking for people to brave the cold to raise money for YFC Youth Unlimited.
Yesterday, we spoke with Dan Avey about the walk itself, and today we are going to highlight where the money raised will be going.
Youth Unlimited’s main office is located right near Simcoe Composite School, and for good reason, as Avey talked about the facility and it’s connection to those students.
Last year, the entered a partnership with Norfolk County for a pilot project as well which as been highly successful.
That program is no longer funded by the county, but The Coldest Night Of The Year is looking to raise funds to keep this program going.
Avey says every dime is worth it, and he has proof.
While this program is coming back, the people who attended the first round really didn’t want it to end so Avey heard their pleas.
