Snow is back on the ground, so now would be a good time to look ahead to The Coldest Night Of The Year.
That is the annual walk put on locally by YFC Youth Unlimited in Simcoe.
We spoke with Dan Avey, who said there is a little twist to this years walk but the main goal is the same.
While many will gather at the Superstore this year, he says one of the best things about this walk is that it’s flexible.
During the height of the pandemic, when the event took place, people could chose where they wanted to walk and when and that still is an option.
Last year, over $41,000 was raised and the hope is that 2023 can only see that number grow.
At the end of the day, the hope is to raise money for the many programs being offered in order to help youth in our area.
Tomorrow, we will be continuing our conversation with Avey.
We will be highlighting the programs, including new ones on the horizon, offered by Youth Unlimited so you know how this money is being spent.
