The Haldimand Norfolk Justice For Women Review Team is reaching out to local salons in hopes that can provide proper assistance to those in need.
Amber Wardell is the Justice for Women Review Team Coordinator, and she talked to us about the Cut It Out program.
These free education sessions for salon professionals in our area focuses on violence against women, and how to recognize and respond as a salon professional.
Each participant receives a certificate of completion following the training, and is connected with local resources and services so if the need ever arises, they can provide a vital link to help to a woman experiencing violence and her children.
Whenever they do this training, there is sometimes unease because these professionals aren’t sure where they should step in and where they should “back off.”
