
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Ontario Premier Doug Ford yesterday (Monday) celebrated the opening of Canada’s first, full-scale electric vehicle manufacturing plant.
The GM CAMI plant in Ingersoll has been fully retooled to build the company’s “BrightDrop” all-electric delivery vans which have already started rolling off the line.
Canada intends to bar the sale of new internal-combustion engines in passenger vehicles by 2035.
