Local film enthusiasts rejoice.
The Strand is gearing up to bring TIFF films back into their rotation.
Mark Rapley, general manager at the Strand, described each of the films in the fall showcase.
They’ll be starting with Elizabeth: A Portrait in Parts this month.
Up next will be Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris in November.
The Lost King will be the next feature, playing in December.
Finally in January, Moving On is the last film currently planned.
While these four are the ones currently set, they do plan to continue showing TIFF films moving forward into 2023.
The general manager said this is a way to give locals a way to see films they might not otherwise have an opportunity to view.
Rapley said since re-opening for a third time in March of 2022 they have been appreciating everyone’s support.
