Today at 2 p-m is the final deadline to submit nominations in Ontario for candidates who hope to run in municipal elections this fall.
Nominations for school board trustee candidates have the same cutoff date and time.
Candidates who are running for positions without any opponents will be elected by default at 4 p-m on Monday.
Right now, unless new names are brought forward in the next few hours, there looks to be two acclaimed councillors in Norfolk.
Linda Vandendriessche in Ward 2 and Michael Columbus in Ward 3 are currently running unopposed.
It also appears there will be one less candidate running for mayor, as Zvonko Horvat has apparently withdrew his paperwork according to the counties official elections website.
Voters across Ontario are set to cast ballots in municipal council and school board elections on October 24th.
