This Saturday you can rock out down by the beach in Port Dover as part of the Board Of Trade’s Summer Concert Series.
Project Manager Adam Veri spoke with us about the free concert happening this long weekend.
This is second free summer concert to take place this summer in Port Dover, which was helped out by Veri submitting successful Trillium Foundation Grant requests.
The idea is Port Dover should be the place to go during the long weekend.
Putting this even together meant a lot of moving parts from members of the community, something that is always a strong trademark of Port Dover.
There will be licensed and unlicensed areas at the event.
Families are welcome to attend and bring their own blankets and chairs for seating.
The music starts at 11:30am with the Southwind Blue Grass Band, followed by Mark Malibu & the Wasagas (1:00pm); Hell Bent Rockers (2:30pm); Ginger St. James & the Grinders (4:00pm); The King Jives (5:30pm); and Calgary’s Peter & the Wolves (7:00pm). Wax Mannequin performs at 9:00pm.
The third and final concert in the long weekend series is Saturday, September 3.
