More than 100,000 trees were planted in Haldimand and Norfolk this season.
Forests Ontario’s 50 Million Tree Program has seen over 36.7 million trees planted to date, creating more than 18,000 hectares of new forests on around 7,000 sites.
Over 1.1 million of those trees have been planted locally since the beginning of the project.
The group works closely with landowners to develop plans regarding which trees are planted where.
