Michael Barber thought this opportunity was too good to be true.
The local artist was asked to create a piece inspired by a Tragically Hip song.
He told us about choosing the song.
A portion of the proceeds is going towards building a Mohawk school to teach the students their Indigenous language, which also helped inspire the meaning behind the art.
One of the hardest parts, Barber said, was ensuring he was able to capture the power already found within the song.
Another tough part was keeping the project a secret from the time he was invited to take part until it was announced in June.
The original piece has already been sold but prints are available four purchase.
To learn more about the project, and to purchase a print, you can visit the Song-Word Art House website.
If you are looking to see work by Barber in person, he currently has an installation at Lynnwood Arts as part of the Rebuild, Restore, Renew Together exhibition.
