David Bate says he has heard the concerns of Norfolk County residents and wants to be their voice at Town Hall.
Bate runs Bate Home Improvement and has lived in Norfolk all his life.
Over the many years here, and all the people he talks to on a regular basis, he feels he can be a voice of the every day Norfolk County resident.
Bate knows how to work well in a group to get things done, as a sitting member of various boards across the community and someone who spends time fundraising for others groups in the area like the Humane Society.
He said travelling around and talking to people really opens up your eyes to the issues facing different parts of the county.
He said there are a few projects he would like to see done as well that might get a better head start with council’s help such as Riversyde 83 and the new building for the Simcoe and District Humane Society.
He also would like to see some things that have been changed over the years revert back to their original plans – such as Friday the 13th.
He also feels residents should have more of a voice when it comes to important issues in the county that can affect their pocketbook.
Bate says he has a track record of being a trustworthy person who is always open to hearing from the public when it comes to their concerns.
