The final draft of the Inter-Urban Water Supply agreement with Haldimand County was presented to Council this week.
Norfolk County Council heard from Andrew Grice, General Manager of Environmental and Infrastructure Services at their meeting on Tuesday.
The two communities have been working together on this agreement since 2019. The agreement is expected to provide a cost effective and timely solution for Norfolk County’s drinking
water supply, quality, and quantity issues.
Councillors were excited to hear the report.
That was Chris Van Paassen.
Short term benefits include the ability to unfreeze development in Port Dover, with longer term benefits seeing water rates stabilize or decrease.
