It is a very special year for the Norfolk County Public Library.
They are emerging from pandemic closures with many big events planned over the next several weeks to celebrate summer and that fact that this year marks a special milestone for the area – there has been library services in the area for 150 years.
That was Belinda Smith, Virtual Library Coordinator.
She says aside from individual fun activities, each individual branch is being recognized this year.
Smith says the library has evolved over the years, and more people are coming to realize that a dramatic change has come to our local branches.
NCPL is also doing 150 Ways to Celebrate Your Library.
It’s their way of sharing as much of what they offer at the library and inviting the communities to discover things they may not other wise know.

They are also urging people to come in and see the library this summer with a slew of activities.
Smith said the Library is a beehive of activity during the summer months.
