The Port Dover Lions have been holding a month long food drive and they got a last minute boost from Lakewood Elementary School.
Organized by Mrs. Lori Miller’s grade 4/5 class, Lakewood Elementary School collected 1050 items for the Port Dover and area Lifeline Foodbank.
Two classes really stood out there, Mrs. Miller’s class was able to collect 295 items while Ms. Earle’s grade 6 class collected 267 items.
In a release, the Lions also wanted to recognize Addison and Brennan MacLean, who were in the two classes noted above, who canvassed their neighbourhood and collected 304 items.
Both classes will be getting a pizza lunch soon courtesy of the Lions.
