For the first time in 2 years, a full scale Canada Day celebration is happening in Port Dover.
The event is something Norfolk residents look forward to each summer and while it’s “free” to attend, they don’t happen without a lot of money being spent.
Enter the Port Dover Lions, working hard behind the scenes to make sure everything goes off without a hitch.
Aside from the many volunteer hours this group dedicated, to make up for the financial impact, they are once again rolling out their annual fundraising initiative.
That was President Sue Finnie.
She says those buttons also grant adults admission to the fireworks show that evening in Silver Lake Park.
There is a bit of a change to the buttons this year as well, to those of you who keep track every year.
For Finnie, she is just excited to be able to be out and able getting prepared for this big day once again.
If you want a button there are lots of options ahead of you.
You can keep up to date with all the latest happenings right here.
