Both local school boards are following the direction of the province and lifting mask mandates on March 21st.
In statements by the boards, they say that masks will no longer be required as of March 21st, but they will continue to offer personal protective equipment, including masks, and rapid antigen tests to those who need it.
Likewise, they also said the cohorting will no longer be in effect.
While most school boards appear to be following the provincial lead, that is not the case everywhere.
Recently, Hamilton’s public school board has voted to keep masks in place for students and staff until April 15.
