Canadians have been standing in solidarity with the Ukrainian-Canadian community during the Russian Invasion.
People have been donating to local groups that have been sending aid to those affected by the conflict.
If you’d like to help but don’t know of the best way to do so locally, Courtney Wilson with the Red Cross says her organization is ready to help.
You can donate online at donate.redcross.ca, by calling 1-800-418-1111. You can also text the word UKRAINE in all capital letters to 20222 to make a 10-dollar donation.
The funds raised go to everything from immediate relief efforts, like repairing water pumps and other key pieces of infrastructure, to a long-term recovery plan after the conflict ends.
