The Perch Derby will not be happening this year in Port Dover.
The Board Of Trade, on their social media page, said the hope is they can regroup in 2023.
When people asked why the event was cancelled, the Board noted that the day is a massive undertaking with lots of things needing to take place behind the scenes and several volunteers required.
They note items such as boat shows to sell tickets, going to businesses for prizes, and gathering volunteers as being time consuming items and are looking forward to tackling the perch derby in 2023.
