Charges have been laid related to a death that occurred in Simcoe.
In August, 17-year-old Rachel Cook was transported to the hospital and was later pronounced deceased.
A male was initially charged with a drug-related offence in the matter.
As a result of further investigation, the OPP has now laid additional charges against 41-year-old Derrick Anthony Adams of Norfolk County.
He has now been charged with Manslaughter and Criminal Negligence Causing Death.
Also, as part of the ongoing investigation, the OPP charged 41-year-old Scarlet Lee Helmer of Norfolk County on September 22nd with Trafficking Fentanyl.
