As mother nature has shown up, snow and blowing wind can quickly result in icy roads and treacherous driving conditions.
The Grand Erie District School Board wants to remind parents and guardians of its inclement weather policies.
The decision to cancel school or student transportation services for the day is made by 6:30 a.m.
The school board relies on two options.
Either close all schools or close schools based on their specific zone. If the latter option is the case, schools will be identified by zone.
If there is a cancellation, it will be posted on the board’s website, and Twitter account (@GEDSB).
Grand Erie will also share the information with local media.
