It still has to be determined whether a dog park gets approved in Port Dover – but staff believe they have an ideal spot if it does.
Bill Cridland addressed council yesterday following a deputation on the matter.
Aside from the fence, it has several other benefits.
Staff is also forward thinking, knowing this may affect camping on Friday the 13th, so a plan is in place too.
$29,000 has already been earmarked for a dog park in Port Dover, but that wasn’t to be addressed until 2029.
With that, due to the location and other factors at play there Cridland says it may come in under budget to go this route.
Staff will be looking into more information on cost associated with putting a dog park in this location and bringing that information back to council.
