Truth and Reconciliation is much more than just a day on the calendar for Skyler Williams.
Williams acted as the spokesperson for the 1492 Land Back Lane occupation throughout 2020 and 2021.
He feels there is more to be done for Truth and Reconciliation than a federal holiday.
He compared the day to Thanksgiving.
He continued by say for Indigenous people this is not something they are faced with for one day a year, but their entire lives.
Williams spoke of what actual reconciliation would look like to him.
