A local business owner is standing against the vaccine passports.
Teagan Fitch, owner of Spectrum Gymnastics, has decided she will not be asking for proof of vaccination for those entering her gym.
In the rules laid out by the province, children under the age of 18 are not required to show proof of vaccination when entering a sports facility to participate in things such as dance or swimming, which would cover most of Fitch’s participants.
This would mean most of the people entering the gym required to show proof of vaccination would be parents spectating.
She said is prepared for the consequences she may face for making this decision.
Fitch added that she is thankful for the families continuing to support her business throughout the pandemic.
