
While it wasn’t a typical August Friday the 13th, Port Dover still was busy.

While it was calm on the police front in Port Dover, it was sadly not the same heading in and out of town.
On Friday afternoon, police say a 66-year-old Stoney Creek man on a motorcycle and two passenger vehicles were struck from behind at the intersection of Highway 6 and 1st Line.
The man was pronounced deceased.
Then on Saturday afternoon, emergency crews responded a motorcycle and SUV collided at the intersection of Highway 6 and St Johns Road East.
As a result of the collision, the operator of the motorcycle, was air lifted by Ornge to a Hamilton area hospital to be treated for serious but non-life threatening injuries.
The passenger was transported to a Haldimand area hospital to be treated for serious but non-life threatening injuries.
The driver and two passengers in the SUV did not suffer any injuries.
No further information was provided at this time regarding the other collisions.
