With National Donut Day this week, Trish’s Gluten Free Bakery is glad to be around to celebrate and still thriving as a business.
During the pandemic, Trish Butler says their tasty treats helped them stay afloat and even thrive during these hard times – actually expanding their business with a new store in Hamilton.
Local support has also been incredible, especially with the rollout of new items at the shop as well during recent months.
She says one benefit her store has had, that others have not, is that she has been able to keep her doors open for walk in traffic – though limits on how many are allowed to enter.
While the world is pivoting more and more to a digital model, there is still something special about that face to face connection.
For National Donut Day, Butler says she is just as excited to see what her team does as the customers.
One unique thing about their donuts is they are air fried, adding a unique base to begin with.
