After running for two weeks illegally, the Bridges at Tillsonburg has closed their doors for the time being.
Following the company being fined, and several golfers receiving large tickets, the golf course has decided to close down until restrictions are lifted.
The owners of the course said the move was meant to be a protest against unreasonable measures and that money made over the two weeks will go to area charities.
It appears that may still be a long way off though, as Ontario’s Minister of Health and its Minister of Sport both addressed the issue of tennis and golf yesterday, with each saying that there is currently no timeline for the return of outdoor sports.
Health Minister Christine Elliott says Ontario would need to see case counts and hospitalization numbers go down before considering the move.
