The church that was at the centre of previous rallies in Aylmer is once again making headlines.
The Church of God in Aylmer disobeyed public health orders this weekend when Pastor Henry Hildebrandt encouraged people to leave their vehicles for their drive-in service.
People huddled together outside before Hildebrandt took it another step further.
That “tour” consisted of roughly 10 minutes of a regular church service, such as singing and prayers, all without masks being worn.
This followed a service where Hildebrandt took time to target the government and his view that COVID-19 is not as serious as officials claim it is.
Hildebrandt also spent much of his sermon claiming that the government is using COVID-19 to control the population.
He specifically talked about the newly elected President of the United States Joe Biden while also telling his congregation his views on masks.
We expect to hear from Aylmer Police later today in regards to the public health violations that were filmed as part of the Sunday service.
