Norfolk County students and families will have a chance to explore what comes next in school and beyond when the Grand Pathways event arrives in Simcoe next week.
The Grand Erie District School Board is hosting three regional events this fall for students in Grades 6 through 12, along with their parents and caregivers.
The Norfolk County event takes place Thursday, November 5, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Simcoe Composite School.
Students will be able to learn more about programs and supports available through Grand Erie secondary schools while also exploring career options and five different post-secondary pathways.
Dr. JoAnna Roberto, the board’s Chief Executive Officer and Chief Education Officer, said the events are designed to help young people make informed decisions about their futures while building the skills and confidence needed for what comes next.
The board is also pointing families toward its Pathways Guide for additional information and resources as students plan their next steps.
Simcoe is the final stop in a series of three Grand Pathways events across the school board.
All three events run from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. and are open to students in Grades 6 to 12 and their families.
