The Long Point Country Chamber of Commerce is asking for the return of several local charity and organization logo signs it says were stolen from the “Welcome to Port Rowan” signs at both ends of town.
In a community appeal, the chamber expressed disappointment over the missing signs, which recognize groups that support local residents and causes.
“These organizations work incredibly hard to make our community a better place,” the chamber said. “They dedicate their time, energy, and resources to supporting local people and causes.”
The chamber is asking anyone with information about the missing signs, or who may have taken them, to email longpointchamber@gmail.com, submit an anonymous message through www.longpointchamber.ca, or speak with one of its directors.
Anyone who has the signs can return them to Port Rowan Home Building Centre, with no questions asked.
“We simply want to see these signs returned to where they belong,” the chamber said.
The organization also encouraged residents to look out for one another and respect the volunteers and community groups working to make Port Rowan a better place to live.
