The historic Waterford Old Town Hall is receiving $158,900 from the Ontario Trillium Foundation to help restore and repair the roof of the 124-year-old heritage building.
MPP Bobbi Ann Brady met with representatives from the Old Town Hall Association on Thursday to celebrate the provincial Capital grant.
The announcement took place in conjunction with Summer’s Last Waltz, a free community musical celebration held annually at the Old Town Hall.
The funding will be used to restore and repair the building’s roof, helping to protect the integrity of the heritage-designated structure.
The Old Town Hall Association says the work will allow the building to continue serving the Waterford community while hosting arts programming, cultural activities and community events.
