An unusual crash in Norfolk County sent one person to hospital Friday after a tree fell onto a moving SUV.
Norfolk OPP say emergency crews were called to Norfolk County Highway 24 West shortly before 12:30 p.m. on August 14.
In a social media post Constable Andrew Gamble says a white SUV was travelling along the highway when it was struck by a falling tree.
The driver was taken to an area hospital with injuries that had not yet been determined.
Gamble called the circumstances surrounding the collision uncommon.
Highway 24 West was closed between Forestry Farm Road and East Quarter Line Road while emergency crews remained at the scene.
OPP say more information will be released as it becomes available.
