Norfolk County OPP are reminding residents to remove valuables from their vehicles after two recent incidents involving vehicles in Waterford and Simcoe.
Police say the first incident was reported Friday after a vehicle was entered overnight at a property on Simon Court in Waterford.
A Lenovo laptop, Samsung S25 cellphone, personal identification and bank cards were reported stolen.
A second incident was reported Sunday at a property on John Street in Simcoe.
Police say one or more people forced their way into a vehicle overnight, causing damage to both the exterior and interior, although nothing was reported stolen.
OPP say the incidents are a reminder that thieves can target both locked and unlocked vehicles and are urging residents not to leave valuables inside their cars.
Police are continuing to investigate and are asking anyone with information about either incident to contact Norfolk County OPP at 1-888-310-1122 and reference incident numbers E261133072 and E261146763.
