UPDATE:
Haldimand County OPP have made an arrest in connection with an assault at a Hagersville business.
Police say two people entered a business on Main Street North at around 11 p.m. on July 31, with one of them assaulting a person inside.
A 14-year-old from Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation has now been charged with assault and mischief.
The accused cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
OPP thanked the public and media for their help with the investigation.
Haldimand County OPP are asking for the public’s help identifying an individual following an assault at a Hagersville business.
Police say the incident happened Friday, July 31st, at a business on Main Street North.
The Haldimand County OPP detachment received a report of the assault, which investigators say happened at approximately 11 p.m.
According to police, two unknown individuals entered the business around that time. One of the individuals then assaulted a person inside the store.
Investigators are now working to identify the person believed to have been involved in the assault.
Police describe the individual as an Indigenous male between approximately 14 and 19 years old and weighing about 140 pounds.
He is described as having black hair with bangs and wearing silver reading glasses and a black hooded sweater.
Police are also asking anyone who may have information about the second individual involved or the rental truck connected to the incident to come forward.
