After a sold-out performance by Honeymoon Suite earlier this month, the Campfire Concert Series is getting ready for another big night of live music in Port Rowan.
Canadian country star Tim Hicks will take the stage at Sandpines on Saturday, Aug. 1, as the popular waterfront concert series continues its third season.
Organizer JR Diggs said the unique lakeside venue has become one of the biggest attractions for concertgoers.
He adds that fans experience an intimate outdoor setting where they’re much closer to the performers than at larger venues.
Following Tim Hicks, the series wraps up with Canadian rock legend Kim Mitchell on Sept. 5.
Diggs said the concert series has continued to grow thanks to strong community support, with many fans coming out to relive the music they grew up with.
He added that the smaller venue creates memorable experiences for both audiences and the artists performing.
Volunteers and sponsors are still welcome to get involved
Tickets remain available for the remaining concerts, although organizers say they’re selling quickly.
