The City of Brantford will hold a statutory public meeting next week on a revised proposal to expand its municipal boundary into the County of Brant.
The proposal has been scaled back after public consultation. Originally covering 1,317 acres, the revised plan now includes 848 acres after 469 acres of agricultural land were removed from the transfer area.
The change follows a Memorandum of Understanding signed by the City of Brantford and the County of Brant in May 2026.
The public meeting is scheduled for Monday, July 27, beginning at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers at Brantford City Hall. Residents and organizations can attend the meeting to provide comments or contact the City Clerk for more information.
