A call from a concerned member of the public helped Norfolk County OPP remove a suspected impaired driver from the road in Simcoe.
Police say officers responded to a 9-1-1 call at about 12:35 p.m. on Monday, July 13, after someone reported a driver they believed was impaired on Queensway East.
Officers quickly located the vehicle and conducted a roadside sobriety test. The driver was taken into custody without incident.
As a result of the investigation, 36-year-old Chelsey Freeman of Haldimand County has been charged with **operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).** The charge has not been proven in court.
