Prospect Fighting Championships is bringing an action-packed night of mixed martial arts to the Caledonia Fairgrounds on Saturday, July 18.
Promoter Jamie Champion said fans can expect about 13 bouts featuring local fighters alongside competitors from across Ontario and beyond. The card is designed to showcase evenly matched contests that can end in seconds or turn into thrilling three-round battles.
Champion said Southern Ontario has developed a strong MMA following, with talented athletes training in communities across the region. He believes the events appeal to experienced fans and newcomers alike.
Champion said many first-time spectators are surprised by the atmosphere, creating an exciting live experience while maintaining a welcoming environment for families.
Doors open at 5 p.m., with the first fight at 6 p.m. The event is expected to wrap up around 10:30 or 11 p.m.
Tickets are available online through Prospect Fighting Championships or from participating local fighters. Discounted tickets are also available at 420 Express locations in Ohsweken. Champion also thanked sponsors including LIUNA and 420 Express for helping make the event possible.
